Oils are the usual medium for portraits and wildlife, alongside watercolour sketches for some greetings cards.
I like to focus on monochrome with oils enhancing a specific focal point with one other colour e.g. a family children group using monochrome and placing nearby favourite toys in bright colours.
For the kiln fired tiles I use stoneware clay where I decide on which size is best used for certain wildlife, then draw and paint with glazes, forming either into coasters or framed wall art.
My note and sketch books are completely handmade using specialised bookbinder materials for the pages and hardcovers. The watercolour sketchbooks are larger in a landscape size using heavy watercolour paper pages.
