You may try to break me, but I'm already broken.

Biography

As an artist, I am passionate about exploring and expressing personal and external themes such as memory, perception, and identity, and how they impact our mental health and overall lives. Art has a unique ability to stir emotions, spark thoughts, and encourage dialogue. Through my work, I hope to connect with my audience on a deeper level, inviting them to join me on a journey of exploration and introspection. As I continue to develop and grow in my artistic practice I am dedicated to pushing the limits of my craft, embracing new techniques and materials to transform the way we experience and appreciate art.

inspiration

Influenced by many things from my childhood, Hammer Horror, Eastern European animation, fairy tales. Combining painting, print and sculpture my illustrations often have a dark edge, depicting strange figures and scenes. Many are based on overheard conversations, people I meet or autobiographical. Combining all these past and present memories my work explores these themes and I suppose in a way tries to make sense of the world.

medium

As a mixed media artist I use many mediums for my work, traditional painting, sculpture, printmaking and video. My artistic process is driven by the qualities of each medium, allowing me to choose the most fitting method for expressing my ideas. Currently I am working on shadowboxes; miniature sculptures made from found and discarded objects.
