Biography

We work together to create their ceramic artworks. Chris is a poet and we bring the words to life on the clay, along with imagery, textures and marks which complement the poetry. . We hope that our work inspires and engages, exploring the human condition, the spirituality of wild places and the need for hope.

inspiration

We issues such as climate change and justice, community and relationship, society and love - expanding on our work together as poet and potter and our connection with the grounds we live on.

medium

We use both raku and stoneware clays, in raku and electric kilns. Each piece we make is unique and incorporates our own poetry. Some work is delicate and detailed, some bold and colourful, all united by the words that flow across the work. We leave some areas unglazed and some accented with glaze colours inspired by the beautiful Argyll coastline where we live.
