Biography
My mission is to create bold, contemporary botanical artwork that brings a sense of calm and connection to nature into everyday spaces. Through colour, pattern and hand-drawn forms, I aim to make work that feels joyful yet grounding.
My vision is to create artwork that sits comfortably in both traditional and modern interiors, offering something familiar but reimagined in a contemporary way. I love translating my illustrations into thoughtfully designed products that people can live with, use, and return to over time.
Sustainability is central to my practice – all prints and products are made using eco-conscious materials and inks, with care for both quality and the planet.
inspiration
My work is inspired by the natural world and a long-standing love of vintage botanical prints. I’m drawn to the colour, pattern and optimism found in 1960s and 70s design, mid-century illustration, and the decorative detail of the Arts and Crafts movement.
These influences are balanced with elements of folk art and contemporary illustration, allowing me to create botanical artwork that feels both nostalgic and modern. Nature is always at the heart of my work – not just as subject matter, but as a source of calm, rhythm and connection.
medium
I primarily work digitally, painting and drawing on my iPad using Procreate. Working digitally gives me flexibility and control, allowing me to refine colour, composition and pattern while working intuitively.
Although my final artworks are digital, my approach is rooted in traditional illustration, with an emphasis on hand-drawn marks, layered colour and texture. I also work with acrylics and watercolours, and these traditional materials continue to influence my digital practice. I’m keen to dedicate more time to painting this year, further developing the relationship between my analogue and digital work.
