Biography

My mission is to create digital artwork inspired by atomic and mid-century aesthetics that celebrates the optimism, glamour, and cultural influence of the mid-20th century. Through series such as The Manhattan Avenue, featuring iconic figures like the Rat Pack, Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, and JFK, my vision is to reinterpret history with a modern digital perspective. I aim to preserve the spirit of this era while presenting it in a way that feels timeless, nostalgic, and relevant to contemporary audiences.

inspiration

I have always drawn inspiration from mid-century atomic art. Although I wasn’t a fan of it growing up, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for it over time. As mid-century retro art continues to return to fashion, my long-standing passion for retro aesthetics has become central to my work. This style now strongly influences my creative direction and artistic expression.

medium

Before becoming an artist, I worked as a structural engineer. When I decided to set aside my steel-toe boots and pursue one of my passions, it felt natural to create work digitally. My engineering background still shows through in the clean lines and structure of my art. Although I was initially sceptical, having previously painted by hand, digital creation has proven to be both creatively rewarding and highly practical. It allows my work to be easily resized, adapted, and shared as PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, and more. This flexibility makes digital art the perfect fit for me.
