Biography

Johanna is a contemporary Jewellery Designer / Maker, trading as Black Country Wren. Her collections are predominantly made from sterling silver, creating jewellery that is timeless and unique, from everyday pieces to statement adornments, to be worn, enjoyed and to be treasured.

inspiration

Her designs are inspired by wildlife, organic forms, textures and landscapes found in our beautiful natural world, often reflecting the seasons. She incorporates simple lines and shapes, bold abstract forms and combines delicate elements and various finishes to create contrast.

medium

Her jewellery collections are handmade using various traditional silversmithing techniques. She incorporates natural gemstones and resin enamel to some of her pieces.
