Biography

Jeff's practice is to do with patterns, memories and impulses. He intends to make tangible relics of quiescence, stillness and the passing of time.

inspiration

Jeff is inspired by the human condition, nature and philosophy. By exploring "meaning-making in the hand-made", Jeff questions the plurality of the digital world we live in. In rooting perception into what is tangible, he maintains that there remains a space for a more traditional interpretation of reality. However, he is not precious about this view, as he recognises there can (and will be) multiple truths.

Jeff works in mixed media. He primarily uses paper, various yarns, textiles and paints to create his "assemblages". Often, he uses paper as a single medium of expression for his portraits and "drawings". He is also a prolific card maker.
