Biography

My work revolves around the landscapes of the UK, with a particular focus on my local area. I want my work to show that there are pockets of beauty in all sorts of places, using light, tone and texture to enhance the viewer's appreciation for the nature around them.

inspiration

I'm inspired by impressionistic oil painters, but also contemporary painters and mixed media artists like Jenny Bloomfield and Chris Long. In terms of what I paint, a lot of my inspiration often draws from places around where I live in Coventry, in particular Brandon Wood, Brandon Marsh and Coombe Abbey.

medium

My work is primarily in oils, but I also create mixed media work using both traditional and digital techniques. When it comes to my originals, these are made with palette knife and oil paint.
