Biography

My mission is to create jewellery that celebrates the textures, forms, and subtle beauty of the natural world. I transform twigs, leaves, acorns, and other natural objects into wearable pieces, preserving their delicate intricacy while giving them strength and durability. I aim to craft jewellery that is tactile, organic, and richly detailed, allowing the wearer to carry a small piece of nature with them.

My work explores a connection with the natural environment and champions traditional handmade jewellery techniques, highlighting skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. I hope to continue experimenting with new techniques, materials, and forms, creating heirloom pieces to be treasured and worn for many years to come.

inspiration

My work is inspired by my surroundings, particularly the quiet beauty of woodlands and the British countryside. My processes capture the organic, tactile qualities found in nature, celebrating its imperfect and rustic charm. Many of my designs are cast directly from pieces of nature such as twigs, acorns, and leaves, transforming them into solid metal forms. This process allows me to preserve delicate textures and intricate details while creating pieces that are strong, durable, and wearable. I enjoy exploring shape and texture within my work, with designs that celebrate the subtle details found in the natural world.

medium

The jewellery I create is fine jewellery, crafted from precious metals such as sterling silver and 9ct gold. I also work with more unusual materials, including pink bronze, brass, copper, and gold-filled metals, offering a range of price points to suit different budgets, with pieces ranging from £30 to £500.

To craft my designs, I combine traditional hand-forming techniques with contemporary processes, creating pieces rich in texture and with an organic, natural feel. Many of my designs are also created using the process of Lost Wax Casting, transforming natural objects into solid metal copies, preserving their intricate detail and fragile appearance within the metal.
