Biography
My mission is show my love of lino printing, and share it with people coming to AITP, that many people will have tried it ,maybe at school and that its time to rediscover it.
Also that it carries on the hand made and crafted tradition of this type of art
I also love drawing and painting and last year had my sketchbooks on display, which are great at showing the inspiration behind an artists work
this made a really good connection with people and sparked some great conversations.
inspiration
My inspiration can come from many places ,i have a love of the urban and industrial landscapes, but also the beauty of nature ,it also inspires me when the two clash, where maybe nature has now taken over an old industrial site.
medium
My main medium is printmaking ,mostly in lino ,but also dry point etching and silk screen print
to me all are good mediums for capturing urban and industrial landscapes
Also producing work in watercolour ,pen and pencil.
with a love of keeping a sketchbook and drawing everyday.
