Silent Reverie

In Flight
Biography
My mission as an artist is to create work that nurtures connection, something that aligns deeply with the spirit of Art in the Park. I believe art should feel welcoming, accessible, and emotionally honest, offering moments of reflection and joy for people of all ages as they explore the festival. Through symbolic imagery, thoughtful colour palettes, and experimental mark making, I aim to create pieces that resonate with families, spark curiosity, and celebrate the small but powerful moments of everyday life. Whether through public art, workshops, or personal commissions, my goal is to contribute to an environment where visitors feel seen, included, and uplifted, and where creativity becomes a shared experience.
inspiration
I draw inspiration from the emotional threads that run through everyday life; feelings, personal experiences, and the quiet moments that shape who we are. Community plays a huge role in my work; I’m energised by the stories, connections, and shared experiences that come from creating alongside others. My background in textiles influences the way I think about texture, layering, and pattern, while shapes and nature offer endless forms to explore through colour and mark making. Above all, I’m inspired by emotion — the small shifts, memories, and sensations that can be transformed into something visual, tactile, and meaningful.
medium
I work primarily with acrylics, textured mediums, soft pastels, and gold leaf. Acrylics allow me to build bold layers of colour and texture, while pastels bring softness, movement, and expressive mark making into each piece. I often incorporate gold leaf to create moments of light and contrast, adding a reflective quality that shifts as the viewer moves. By combining these materials, I’m able to explore depth, luminosity, and the interplay between vibrant colour and delicate detail.
