Biography

My vision is to place joy at the centre of my practice and to create work that offers an uplifting and emotionally positive experience. Through sculptural and functional ceramics, my mission is to deliberately engineer colour, form, and pattern to cultivate joy, abundance, and energy, encouraging viewers to reconnect with positive emotion through everyday objects and art.

inspiration

My work is inspired by nature and the fleeting, mysterious quality of joy itself. I draw influence from organic forms, natural patterns, and vibrant colour, translating these elements into abstract, highly decorative surfaces that celebrate vitality, movement, and emotional warmth.

medium

I work primarily with ceramics, creating both sculptural and functional pieces inspired by nature. Using a combination of handbuilding and hand-thrown techniques, I carefully shape each form before hand-painting intricate, vibrant patterns. Through deliberate use of colour, pattern, and abstract form, I use clay as a medium to explore joy, abundance, and positive emotional experience. I also translate my patterns to fabric having a small range of tea towels!
