Biography

Christine paints calming still life oil that explore colour, light and form. Her paintings are painted from life using ordinary objects to msje them extraordinary. The paintings create an alternate world where the viewer is invited to create their own story behind the composition.

inspiration

Christibe is inspired by the history of still life painting. She is inspired by the objects she owns or finds. They speak to her and demand to be painted.

medium

Christine paints in oils and oaints from life. She has two methods of using oils, building up layers and glazes for paintings that develop colour and depth, and for alla prima daily paintings and plein air landscapes she paints directly wet in wet.
