Cath's inspiration is taken from the natural world. For instance, the myriad of autumn shades of beech leaves in sunlight, water glistening on pebbles in a stream, fossilised leaves pressed into rock, climbing plants clinging to stone walls, mushrooms appearing on the forest floor and snails clustering in rockpools on a Scottish beach. All these create amazing shapes and are just some of the diverse forms that have inspired her ceramics.
