Carla loves inviting others into her creative world. Both through sharing her art and her processes by hosting workshops for those eager to learn

inspiration

Carla is deeply inspired by the countryside around her. Working with hand dyed fabrics and threads to create her nature infused textile pieces.

As a textile Artist her recent practice includes eco printing with foliage gathered from her local landscape, as well as hand dyeing wool and threads.
With these she creates her nature inspired 2 and 3 dimensional pieces. To create a 3d piece she makes a chicken wire frame for the animal form and then brings them to life with individually chosen fabrics and threads which are hand stitched in place.
