Biography
I'm a mental health nurse. In 2017 I was off work for some time dus to the onset of chronic pain. I started to paint to keep me smiling through that very difficult time. I found my animals paintings made other smile too and that brought me so much joy. I have always loved animals and nature. So by painting my animals on recycled slate I feel i'm honouring both my loves with some recycling too! xx

I paint on recycled slate. I source this all over the place, often from roofs that are being replaced, to save the slate from being scrapped. The darkness of the slate and uniqueness of each piece really helps the paint I use stand out and makes the colour pop. I seal and varnish all my work and then drill it, putting ribbon through. So it can hang as unique wallart.
