Bibi creates ceramic sculptural homewares for everyday use, pieces that are as functional as they are beautiful. Geometrically inspired, her forms are bold, bright, and architectural, ergonomically designed with sensory experience in mind.

Each drinking vessel or vase is wheel thrown and hand-built, with careful attachments like slabbed handles designed for comfort and ease of use. Her work explores the relationship between form and function, focusing on adaptability for those with access needs. She challenges the perception that accessible design must look “disabled,” showing that it can be both inclusive and aesthetically refined.

Clay is Bibi’s primary medium; reclaimed, reprocessed, and reimagined. She prints, masks, and paints each surface using underglazes to create vibrant, layered finishes. Influences span art and architecture, from Bauhaus, Memphis, Pop Art, Escher, Anish Kapoor, Zaha Hadid, Ricardo Bofill, and Anouska Hempel. Every piece is multifunctional, suitable for hot or cold drinks, food, flowers, or treasured trinkets. Bibi’s aim is to create joyful, tactile objects that invite daily use and personal connection.

Maker’s Mark – The Red Dot
Every Sketch Avenue ceramic features a small red dot on its base — Bibi’s personal maker’s mark. Inspired by tribal South Asian tradition, this dot reflects the bindi, placed between the eyes to represent the centre of balance, focus, and inner strength.

For Bibi, the red dot is more than a signature; it’s a celebration of grounding, kindness, and connection a reminder of the joy found in sharing life with others. As you lift your cup, the mark catches the eye of those around you, like a quiet rising sun, a symbol of her heritage and a reflection of beauty, balance, and belonging.
