Biography
I am a Printmaker, Collage artist and Jeweller. My work explores themes of memory and folklore. Vivid stories told to me as a child have been reimagined in linocuts, collage and jewellery. My jewellery is created using the lost wax casting technique.
inspiration
The art of storytelling and folklore has always been central to my work. My work has been inspired by childhood visits to rural Wales where my family originate from.
My paper works are each individually made using ephemera. I am a keen collector and love nothing more than finding old papers during visits to flea markets.
My love of antique jewellery and curios has helped me to develop a line of jewellery which takes inspiration from the past. Each piece is unique and has its own story to share with the viewer.
medium
I use a variety of different techniques to make my work.
As a printmaker I create work using the linocut and etching method. My collages are made with ephemera. I use the wax casting technique to create my jewellery and have just completed a course in enamelling which I hope to experiment with further.
