Biography
My main mission with my work is to create special art that will be cherished by generations. I love to know that my work has touched someone, reignited a memory, or brought up fond memories.
In addition to embroideries, I also do pencil portraits and watercolour paintings. My main aim with these is the same. I create each piece with love, and always aim to capture personality, special memories, and the unique charm of each person, animal, landscape, and building.
inspiration
My main inspiration is nature. I'm constantly in awe of what I see around me - from any level! Even at ground level, I can sometimes work out that a location would make a great embroidery.
medium
My main medium is embroidery thread, which I use to create aerial views of different landscapes. I use single strands of thread to represent all the different elements and textures of a landscape. This includes using long satin stitches to represent fields, split stitches to create roads and rivers, and French knots to represent people, trees, and different textures.
