Biography
Steve’s artwork teases the eye and the brain. Each of the artist's paintings has an important back story for him. However, he feels that it is super important that, over time, the viewer is allowed to interpret the painting and impart their own narrative.
inspiration
If something moves the artist emotionally, he will draw or paint it. Rarely will the artist create an image without having been moved to do so. It could be inspired by environmental or conservational issues, something he sees whilst watching TV or walking through the streets. Steve will be equally as moved to create a painting inspired by his inner most thoughts, frustrations and personal day to day life.
medium
Although the artist has a leaning towards heavy bodied acrylics, he will often use a whole range of other medium and materials.
As he rarely goes into a new piece with a pre-conceived idea, he will often choose whichever medium feels right at the time. This could be acrylics, oil, artists coloured pencils or even emulsion.
