"Scuse me while I kiss the sky"
Down by the Cross Roads
I want to make paintings that lift and move the viewer by painting with boldness, subtlety and passion.
The figure in movement, especially musicians and dancers.
Expressive tonal paintings where light and colour are highlighted.
Over the last 14 years, my studio practice has developed from using purely traditional oil paints and learning directly from artists who I admire, to developing my own methods using various media.
Experimentation has led to new and exciting ways of using my materials, leading to more abstract and I think energetic pieces.
I now use acrylics, oils, collage, pastel and various other mediums.
