Biography

My vision is to make pots and objects, inspired by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada. This is a never ending journey of artistic development which gives me much enjoyment.

inspiration

A self taught potter,I produce small batches of homeware and decorative ceramics fired in a reduction atmosphere in my home built kiln. Following a few years of evening classes at the local college whilst in employment, in 2023 I committed myself full time to the craft.

medium

I primarily use ash glazes on stoneware bodies plus a small palette of bought glazes.I'm currently working on a new project of birdbaths on scorched pedestals as beautiful objects for the garden.
