Biography
My inspiration stems from the stories and emotions tied to the buildings I illustrate. I’m fascinated with architecture and all the personal memories it holds, whether it’s a family home filled with milestones, a wedding venue symbolising love and commitment, or a local pub that has been a gathering place for years.
I also draw inspiration from the rich history and charm of National Trust properties, local landmarks, and the unique character of each structure. The interplay of light, texture, and color in watercolor allows me to bring these places to life, emphasizing their beauty and significance.
inspiration
I’m inspired by the stories and memories tied to buildings, whether it’s a family home, wedding venue, or local landmark. Each place holds unique meaning, and I love capturing its character and charm through watercolor.
I love being able to create a bespoke artwork for someone that will be cherished for years.
medium
I work with a combination of ink and watercolor. I begin by sketching out the illustration, followed by an ink outline using waterproof inks to define the details. Once the structure is complete, I bring the painting to life with layers of watercolor, adding depth, texture, and vibrancy to capture the character and charm of each subject.
I primarily paint on watercolor paper but also explore other surfaces. For Christmas, I hand-painted and glazed bespoke baubles on clay, featuring wedding venues and houses. One of my customers for this project was Mallory Court.
