Biography
My mission is to create unusual and unique jewellery that resonates with the wearer's individual personality and makes them feel special.
inspiration
I draw inspiration from nature, plants, art, antiques, music, performing arts, and sometimes from my cats, but mostly from the beauty in the materials themselves - the colours of the gemstones and metals (silver and sometimes copper and brass).
medium
I mostly work with recycled sterling silver and natural semi-precious gemstones.
I love designing and making processes. From the moment an idea forms in my mind, the process begins with creative problem solving, considering how the design can be constructed and what materials will be included. The jewellery making process can be challenging, with sawing, soldering, etching, stone setting and polishing requiring great skill and patience, but it is immensely satisfying and rewarding when an imagined design becomes a completed piece of jewellery.
