Biography
As an artist, my mission is personal and evolving, creating work that not only gives me joy to produce, but brings pleasure to those who see it.
Developing my craft to create a connection to both the natural and human worlds through portraiture in a variety of mediums. Capturing expression and personality in a realistic style.
inspiration
Every creature, whether human or animal, has distinctive markings, expressions, and personalities. The aim is to capture these unique qualities whilst trying to convey the subject's mood, spirit and their story.
There is a deep connection people share with both their families and their animal companions. I hope to capture this plus their character and expression.
With a background in graphic design, my work is accurate and detailed.

Primarily a pastel artist utilising textured supports, with sticks and pencils, to create realistic portraiture. From full colour pieces, to working on black backgrounds to create additional drama.
Also work in charcoal, graphite and coloured pencil producing detailed pieces.
More recently have been using acrylics and oils to paint in a similar, detailed way, spending many hours on fine detail.
