Biography
I retired last year and after doing ceramics for seven years wanted to pursue my love of this media further. I would like to do more shows in the near future
inspiration
I am inspired by nature particularly seascapes and textures from stones, pebbles, tree trunks, anything that shows natures erosion and corrosion in our natural world. I enjoy walking and often take my camera to photograph images that take my eye. These ideas give me inspiration helping me to create textures and different surfaces on the clay. I hand build so each piece is different.

I hand build all my pieces in clay using mainly crank clay as it is groggy and depicts the textures I want to capture. I do also use stoneware clay. Most of my work includes the use of various oxides, some slips and very plain glazes.
