Biography

My vision is to create paintings that capture the colours and textures of the landscape. My goal is that the viewer will experience a sense of ‘being in the landscape’.

inspiration

My inspiration is the landscape we live in with focus on countryside, woodlands and seascapes.

Often I look at the details others may miss such as the textures and colours found along the seashore.

medium

I live to work in mixed media: a mixture of gouache crayon, textured pastes, collage, acrylic ink and paint.

Building up many layers gives a rich depth to the paintings and I work with bright, striking colours that are exciting and impactful.
