Biography

Creating a sustainable business that brings a glimmer of joy to people and one that spreads awareness and supports issues that aren't highlighted enough are the goals for my business. As of now, my crochet hasn't reached as many people as I envision it to so my plan is to create what I love and share it with the people who will appreciate it. Using my platforms, I will bring light to problems in the world and donate to helping them using some of my earnings. As I'm only 15 and will be turning 16 in September, I'm currently doing my gcses. I took textiles as one of my options because I'm so passionate about this field. I envision that a spot in this year's AITP will contribute greatly to me acing my gcses and a future in selling my crochet as a full time job.

inspiration

My inspiration is seeing people enjoy the things I've taken time to create. It's fulfilling -especially if it's a gift - to see the pure happiness on someone's face when they receive something from me. It powers me to create the most high quality pieces possible. Also, the thought of using my platform to promote charities inspires me to keep going.

Using yarn to create is very freeing for me because it comes in so many different textures and colours. I use my yarn in lots of different ways, from crocheting with it to even using scraps as stuffing as I believe a sustainable business is the best business.
