Biography
Since my involvement with the Healing Arts Programme in Walsgrave and St Cross hospitals I truly believe that painting and looking at beautiful colours creating interesting textured subjects has a very beneficial influence upon our emotional wellbeing.
My art helps to connect with nature and has calming properties. It has the power to touch many people regardless of age or backgrounds.
I want to inspire others to become more interested in the natural world and their surroundings.
inspiration
I live in Rugby but I grew up in the unspoiled lake district of Mazury in Poland. From a very early age, I started drawing cartoons and Japanese manga which has significantly influenced my style.
Now, I am mainly painting versatile, colourful and dynamic British wildlife. If you look closely enough, just like us humans, all my animals have their own characters and different stories to tell.
I love movement in art and use soft edges to capture this.
medium
My watercolour animal studies are full of directional flow. They mainly express multidimensional movement of animals. I love experimenting with colour and texture as it is unpredictable and challenging.
I paint using a variety of pigments mainly Daniel Smiths due to their softness and unpredictable nature that gives lovely textured effects.
