Biography

Lorna’s mission for her work is to create affordable art that can easily displayed or worn.

inspiration

Influence at the moment is strongly from nature and the need to protect the environment. Lots of natural elements feature in the prints and gift and biscuit tins are up-cycled to create jewellery with the addition of silver.

medium

Traditional Lino is the main carving material that is used, it is biodegradable, when carved detail can be fine as it is fairly sturdy in its structure. The printing can be interesting - each block seems to have their own temperament- however for me the way each print varies in the way the ink looks on the paper is wonderful.
