Biography

Lorna’s aim is to make affordable pieces of original art work through hand printed methods of linocut and cyanotype. She also produces fun jewellery from recycled tins and Silver jewellery using recycled silver. Her work includes one off pieces as well as originals as part of editions, every pieces is an original artwork.

inspiration

Lorna is inspired by the world around her. Plants have a big influence at the moment, using real leaves in the production of some of her work or the depiction of them in her Lino prints. Also every day objects can also be seen in her work from the joy of a morning coffee to other every day objects.

medium

Lorna printing mediums are linocut and cyanotype. Lorna uses simple forms in her Lino cuts to create stylistic images she also uses reduction Lino prints to create more detailed coloured images. Her Cyanotypes use leaves and plants to create images on paper and fabrics.
With her Silver jewellery she often incorporates real plant matter to make impressions to create unique pieces of jewellery.
