Biography
I have been creating artworks for a long time but lack the confidence to promote myself. I intend to take my paintings to more shows, fairs, etc. but also get my work into local galleries and shops. I have been asked to do workshops so I'll be organising that too!!
inspiration
I take most of my inspiration from nature....we are surrounded by such beauty from sprawling countryside to indicate flower stamens. I love the way that colours change in different light....morning frosty landscapes to glowing evening sunsets.
medium
I use many mediums but Alcohol Inks are my favourite and most popular. They work on non porous substrates and are unpredictable by nature, I have mastered the technique of blowing the inks around with various utensils including drinking straws, hand blowers and air brushes all of which create different textures/marks
My other medium is wool fibres for felting, both wet and needle felting. "Painting" with wool gives amazing results, colours and textures.
