Biography
During the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 lots of people re connected with nature. My pictures are a celebration of this.
Being outside offered me great solice during difficult times. The first works were never intended to be sold, just me expressing my creative idea. However people seem to like them which is great.
I get a lot of satisfaction in the creative process and the thrill of people enjoying the images so I plan to carry on creating more..
inspiration
I have been a commercial photographer for 25 years creating very exacting images for advertising and PR agencies.
I have total freedom when I create my animal portraits and am answerable to no body which feels great. When I am happy , thats it!
medium
The images are created using a blend of super HD photography blended with acrylics and sketching.
The photograph gives us areas of extreme detail, enhanced with graphite marks. Other areas become tenuous, the photography seems to morph into loose areas of free paint.
I never know how the final picture will look. Thats the exciting part.
