Biography
Rolling Roses is the feminine collection of pastel toned porcelain homeware and jewellery by ceramicist Leanne Ball. Pieces include tealight and candle holders, vases, plates, bowls and teaware alongside a complimentary range of lightweight jewellery. Embracing the slow process of handbuilding she creates decorative and functional pieces, each one unique and designed to bring elegance and joy to the owner
inspiration
As a Nottingham based ceramicist, Leanne is inspired by the lace heritage of her home city. Amassing a large collection of lace pieces over the years she wanted to capture the beauty of the lace detail and honour this lost industry in pieces that could be used and enjoyed in every day life, Further inspiration comes from her love of collections, the quintessential tradition of tea and elegant tea and table services.

Drawn to the purity of porcelain, Leanne combines this delicate medium with the beautiful patterns found in lace to produce a collection of work with a textile like surface. Pieces are handbuilt, allowing an item to take its form based on the movement of the clay and the patterns in the lace. Pastel toned glazes and gold lustre accents enhance the delicacy of the porcelain surface and it's natural translucency
