Biography
My aim is to bring a little bit of nature into the home. I like to paint on natural materials like wood, it helps give my work a more tactile feel, intern bringing you a little closer to nature.
inspiration
I take inspiration from nature and wildlife. I like to paint as realistically as I can so as to show the beauty in nature and in the animals that live there.
medium
When I use wood in my work I like to prepare the surface with a wood filler so as to fill in any uneven bits. I then sand back the surface to leave a smooth finish.
I use Dayler Rowney acrylic paint in my work because it is resilient and flexible and can be applied to all kinds of surfaces. And it enables me to build up layers and paint quickly because of it's fast drying time.
