Biography
Eightfourteen's mission is to help people express their style with responsible talking-point jewellery.
My vision is to combine sustainable materials and artisan practices with innately human design.
inspiration
My work explores the relationship between urban and natural environments. Since childhood I have felt at home in the countryside, but as an adult I am drawn to the city. My inspiration comes from the conflict of these two different worlds: the dark colours, concrete and man-made texture of cityscapes, against the natural shapes found on pebble beaches and moorlands.

Each piece of Eightfourteen jewellery is hand crafted from eco-silver, which is sterling silver recycled from old jewellery, medical equipment and electronics. I use traditional silversmithing methods such as saw-piercing, forming and soldering. The darker pieces are oxidized to add depth and to highlight hammered textures.
