Biography
I aim to immerse myself in the natural world in order to create pottery that others will find tactile and which will blend with and remind them of nature.
inspiration
I am inspired by nature, the natural forms to be found in the Warwickshire countryside, my homeland, Sicily, and the timeless and diverse vistas such as Ancient Egypt, the great American national parks, the flora of the Amazon jungle, and the awe inspiring heights of Machu Picchu. Curves, patterns and textures are emblematic of my work.

Ceramics
I make my pots mainly by slabbing, pinching and pressing. Texture and movement are important in my work and each piece evolves organically. When making bowls and dishes I use moulds to construct the shape. I press and smooth the clay to produce thin, delicate pieces. Many of these are cracked in places by using a heat gun. Some of my pieces have the inside base decorated with sea glass collected from the beach in my village in Sicily.
