Biography

I love what I do . I take antique solid silver cutlery and disused , broken jewellery and hand make it into modern silver jewellery . Each piece is unique. Everything I make is upcycled , even my stand is an old carpenter’s workbox and my covers are vintage flags . Changing the items means they get loved again and at the same time I’m doing my own little bit to help the environment .

inspiration

I love art deco and art nouveau designs I often try to incorporate them in my work . It’s amazing how much solid silver will bend !
I also work with the designs on the silver , I want to bring them out . Often they are beautifully engraved with animals or flowers .

medium

I use solid silver . I reshape , cut and bend .
I also use other techniques such as embossing , stamping and soldering .
