Biography

Within my work I explore people and place through colourful characters and painterly textures. My aim is to celebrate my local area with illustrated maps of Leamington and Warwickshire. The characters I draw aim to bring about a smile through their joyful expressions. I like to champion imperfection and am inspired by my home.

inspiration

I am inspired by my local hometown Leamington. I have created illustrated maps that celebrate local landmarks and nature. My most recent work has been inspired by waterways and rivers where brave souls can be seen taking a dip in the Leam. I’m also inspired to make people laugh with my compositions full of joyful characters .

medium

I work first with pencil, paint and paper to make a series of textures, looking for something unique to me. Then I make my illustrations by assembling a collage with both analogue and digital elements. My work exists as prints, original drawings and screen prints
