Rebecca Jane - The Little Painter

I am a 45 year old amateur artist who grew up in the Cotswolds and is completely self taught. I rediscovered her passion for painting in the summer of 2018 in a new medium. I currently lives in Rugby with her husband and young daughter.
From an early age I have always appreciated art and have loved to paint. After completing my schooling I applied and successfully gained a place on a Art Foundation Course at Worcester Art School. After much thought I decided that business studies would be a better option career wise and reluctantly didn't take up the Art School offer. I have regretted this for many many years. I am really enjoying rekindling my passion for painting.

I am inspired by nature predominately, in particular flowers, trees, and landscapes in addition to seascapes. I enjoy sharing the beauty of the English countryside on canvas.

I now mainly paint using acrylics however I have used watercolours in the past. I enjoy the vibrancy of colours given when using acrylics and this shows in my work. I steer away from using palette knives, using brushes and getting messy with spraying paint across canvases to add texture to a landscape.
