Biography
It is my aim to incite a greater appreciation of the systems, rhythms and patterns of our beautiful existence. By merging studies of nature with philosophical thought and elements of fantasy my paintings are journeys of connection. I endeavour to reunite the human spirit with its origins and its natural environment.
inspiration
I take inspiration from the natural sciences as well as from mythical nature spirits and deities thus treating themes of ecology and the environment from a timeless and metaphysical perspective.
medium
I favour dry and waterbased mediums due to their low toxicity and minimal waste properties. I enjoy building thin translucent layers of colour using glazing technuques and rendering high detail with graphite and coloured pencil.
