Biography

My vision is to spend a lot of time in my new studio creating ceramics following my recent retirement from work

inspiration

I am inspired by nature and the sea. My pots are very organic . I enjoy walking and take a camera and collection bag ready to record and gather anything that catches my eye. These provide me with initial ideas which help me to create different techniques in my pottery. Inspiration if often taken from erosion and corrosion visible in nature and particularly found near costal areas

medium

I use mainly crank clay as it is heavily frogged creating aged surfaces. I also incorporate slips and oxides.
