Travel mug

My mission is to create functional contemporary homewares and jewellery designed to last a lifetime rather than end up in a landfill. I’ve recently been working on a range a travel mugs and keep cups which have proven popular and encourage people to think before they buy one use paper/plastic

Early stages of my work were inspired by optical illusions but recently ive become a lot more abstract and expressive with my decoration - all my work is hand painted and the colour palette has developed from the word around me.

My work is made from earthenware clay. My jewellery is hand built whereas my pots/planters and travel mugs are slipcast - this is the process of turning clay into a liquid form and pouring into plaster moulds , where the water is absorbed and a ‘skin’ is left, forming my pieces / I sponge, sand, handpaint and glaze my work
