As an artist blacksmith my aim is to keep the ancient techniques of hand forging alive by using them to create contemporary items which are decorative, yet useful and fit perfectly in both traditional and modern homes.

I take my inspiration from my surroundings. From the subtle curves and strong lines I see in the natural world to the gentle movement of the flickering flames and rising smoke from my forge.

I learnt the traditional skills of hand forging hot steel whilst attaining my BA in Artist Blacksmithing at Hereford College of Arts.

As a blacksmith I use a traditional solid fuel forge to heat the steel bar to 1200 C, once heated I use various hammers and hand tools to form the hot steel over the anvil to create my pieces.
