Knots of weaves
Example of unquie plant hanger
My fiber and macrame art business was born in lockdown. Like many I found lockdown extremely hard and to help I self taught myself the art of knotting and now I can't stop.
Personal mission/vision is seeing where this little business takes me.
Cratively I like to push myself artistly, trying new techniques and ideas. and take myself out of my comfort zone (like this application)!
I love it when my work brings a smile on a customers face and they remember doing it at school or their great Aunt or Grandma crafting away. So lovely hearing how this art form as made a come back.
I love showing and sharing. A possible route is workshops and craft packs for this year.
Modern macrame. The 70s craft with a modern Boho style/twist.
Depending on the mood some have a soft look and others have a more bold look. I rarely work from design. I find I work best just doing it.
Colour is a favourite of mine.
I love how tranquil and practical macrame can be in our lives.
From hanging plants for your indoor jungles, bringing something unique and pretty to liven up your walls to wearable macrame in bags or jewellery.
I really enjoy childrens decor too. My macrame rainbows are a hit with my younger audience.
Macrame is endless with its designs and possibilities.
I use recycled macrame cotton cord from other local small business.
Locally found tree branches treated to give a drift wood effect.
I make macrame wall hangings, indoor plant hangers. Rainbows, childrens decor, Christmas decorations, home accessories and bags.
The bags are made from 100% cotton cord KNOTS. No glue or buckles just all knots.
