The Tits

Chips and Beans

I started Ginger and Mint Artworks when was off work unwell and wanted to do something to distract me, whilst I recovered, to cheer myself up.
I have two great loves in life - animals and nature. I therefore started painting animals on reclaimed slate pieces.
My hope is that in an often stressful and tough going world, my animals will bring people as many smiles and alittle bit of cheer, as they have done for me.

My love of animals and natural medium - Slate.

I use rejected pieces of slate from Walsh mines and old roofing slates from roofers in Cornwall to save them from being dumped as waste. I use the unique shape of each piece to dictate what animal is best suited to it and doing my best to capture each animals character and spirit when I start to paint.
