Biography
My mission and vision are to keep growing and improving . I know the standard I’m aiming for, I’m just not there yet. I teach and so to teach effectively I need to be confident in my own skill and ability.
inspiration
Anything that takes my eye is a source of inspiration. Something as simple as the shadows under a tree on a sunny day, boats reflecting in the river in Stratford, Gondolas in Venice, memories of the sea, the vibrancy of some flowers, people going about their daily lives, cool and interesting characters at festivals …..but mainly water and reflections.
medium
I use watercolour. I absolutely love the medium. Yes it’s, stressful at times as it’s incredibly unforgiving and unpredictable with many variants affecting it, but these very characteristics are what makes it so exiting to use. I love the fluidity and the movement you can achieve, the subtlety and the vibrance too. It’s also easily transportable and far less messy than other mediums.
